Today was the last day on TPN and all of her medications have been switched from “Brody” (the broviac) to “Button” (the g-tube). Still looking to head home on Friday. We want to make sure all her chemistry numbers (like electrolytes) are stable since she’s off the TPN. We still need to work out the
Quick update for today. We are hopefully within sight of the finish line for this hospital stay. The goal is to be home by Saturday baring any unforeseen circumstances. Today was the first day for this week’s attending doctor — our favorite (and Adela’s usual outpatient doctor) Dr. Seashore. It is nice to have a
Not much on the medical front to report for the past few days. Gradual progress is still being made to transition Adela off the TPN to just Elecare. She is in a much better mood and has enough strength to walk around the whole hospital floor almost twice today and still have energy to play

We had originally planned for this blog to be updated quite often with news from Adela-land, however we quickly found that keeping up with Adela and everyday life trumped updating the blog. We’re going to try to fix that and be a bit
Today I took Adela to the Museum of Life and Science. We had a really good day. Her favorite was the large Barred Owl. We also enjoyed the frogs and the butterfly house.
