Adela’s new shoes were delivered on Monday. She had been wearing some of the classic PediPeds with the soft bottoms, however it was time for her to move to more of a traditional sneaker with a firm rubber bottom. So, we ordered a pair of the PediPed Flex shoes. They’re really cute. It took her
Last weekend (and two weekends ago) we had Nana, Grandaddy, Uncle D, and Brandi come up and visit again. It’s nice to have them up to visit — partially for the babysitting and partially so Adela has a chance to play with them here at our house. Adela is doing a lot more reading aloud
Well, Adela is officially underway again! She had been strongly resisting standing or walking until last week and then it was as if someone flipped a switch and she just started again. She was walking completely unaided this past weekend, but has decided to be wobbly again this week. Hopefully she will be back to
According to the pediatric orthopedist and the x-rays from yesterday, the small fracture in Adela’s leg has completely healed. We were also concerned about her bone density since she fractured her leg so easily, however the doctor said he wasn’t concerned. The formula she gets now has calcium, so it will help improve her bone
Adela is at the pediatric orthopedist right now having “special pictures” (aka x-rays) taken as a follow up to her fall a few weeks ago. Ali and I are almost positive that her leg is healed, however we just wanted to be sure before we really start pushing her to walk again. Adela did stand

Adela had her next check in with Dr Seashore on Thursday. She was a little worked up going in (read that as really dramatically worked up), but she was able to calm herself much better than she use to. She weighed just over 23 pounds which is a 3 and a half pound gain in
We are out in New Bern this weekend finishing up celebrating Daddy’s 30th birthday. Adela is doing well. She had a bit of a clingy week, but we are continuing to work on the reflux issue. She had a follow-up appointment with genetics earlier this week. No new developments there, they are continuing to research
A big “Happy Mother’s Day” to all the Gramma’s and Nana’s and Mommies and Mommies-to-be… Adela gave me a whole weekend of niceness to celebrate. On Saturday I got a nice luncheon and an all expense payed trip to the new Hobby Lobby in Burlington. On Sunday we went to another nice lunch over at
Well, I figure I’ve procrastinated long enough to weed out anyone not really dedicated. 🙂 Adela has been doing well. No real setbacks. She had been having a lot of reflux flare up, but we finally think we tracked down the problem. Sometimes her prevacid meds will lose their potency if they get humid. When
