Bye Bye Brody

On Monday, Adela had her broviac catheter (a.k.a. “Brody”) removed.  As we’ve mentioned before, we have mixed feelings about her no longer having the broviac.  It was a safety net and a convenience — if she ever needed IV medicines quickly it was available, it made for painless blood draws, and it would be great

Christmas is coming…

It’s been about two weeks since we posted and we wanted to give everyone an update on how Adela is doing. First, let’s get the medical-related topics out of the way.  She’s feeling better, has more energy, and is in a much happier mood.  We were at UNC on Tuesday for her second infusion of
