Taking “special pictures” of Adela’s leg…

Adela is at the pediatric orthopedist right now having “special pictures” (aka x-rays) taken as a follow up to her fall a few weeks ago.  Ali and I are almost positive that her leg is healed, however we just wanted to be sure before we really start pushing her to walk again.

Adela did stand up and take a few steps this weekend for Nana, but is stubbornly refusing to do the same for Mommy and Daddy.  However, since we now know she can stand up and isn’t in pain, we’re hopeful that it will just be a few days before she decides to start walking again.  We know it will take a little while for her to regain some of her muscle tone in her legs (similar to when she wasn’t walking after being in the hospital).

She also seems to be almost completely over her stomach virus and hasn’t had a fever for the past day.  So, that’s good…Mommy and Daddy prefer to handle one injury/sickness at a time.

Adela did have a good weekend with Nana and Grandaddy.  She got in plenty of playtime and got a few birthday presents, including a sand and water table that’s in the dining room right now.

We’ll let everyone know how the x-rays turn out…
