A quiet day planned
No changes since yesterday on our plan of attack. We did find out that her scope procedure will be on Friday morning. We’ll be having her GI doctor actually do the procedure and the head of the anesthesiology department will be anesthesiologist since Adela is a little bit of a special case. That makes us feel a little more secure.
Today will just be resting. She’s still getting her antibiotic shots — don’t know if they’re helping or not. She did eat some dinner last night (a little bit of chicken). She slept through the night — from about 9:30 PM and she’s still asleep now at 8:30 AM. No fever last night (that we knew of), so that’s a good sign. We’re going to try to get her up and moving around some today. Her legs have gotten weak enough from being in bed and being sick that she can’t walk or even stand up without help.
That’s the plan for today…not much. Just in a holding pattern until they can get to the scope. Of course, with her sick and not knowing what it is, we’d rather be in a holding pattern at the hospital than at home.
When I asked Nina what she would like to say to Adela just now the response was: “trains say choo choo.” So please convey this important information.
Thank you for keeping us up to date and please let us know if there is anything that we can do or bring by. Nina had an impromptu play date yesterday with two of our school age neighbors and may have been exposed to the cold they were getting over so I don’t think we will bring her by before Saturday, just to make sure she is not bringing any school germs into the mix. bbv b hygfyytyujhkhjklmmmnnn

Lots of love from Nina, Aunt Monika and Uncle Mario
PS when asked for anything further Nina responds “only Choo Choo”
