Late-night CT scan
Long day, late night, and, as such, a short post.
We don’t know much more from the scope than what I already posted earlier. Adela slept most of the afternoon, especially since they gave her a very low dose of Oxycontin to help with the pain from the scope procedure and the central line surgery. She’s on constant monitoring of her pulse, oxygen, and respiration. The nurses are coming in every four hours to check her other vital signs (temp, blood pressure, etc.).
Based on the severity of the damage to her colon, we went for a late-night CT scan. The doctors want to check for any abscesses that may have formed because of her inflamed intestines. If there are big abscesses, they’ll have to be “drained”. If there are small ones, antibiotics can probably take care of them. We probably won’t know anything until morning from that.
We will post more tomorrow as we’re told.
I hate that you are going through this but I’m so happy to hear you are finding answers to her symptoms. I hope you are able to get some good news today.
