Down by the Seashore

Quick update for today.  We are hopefully within sight of the finish line for this hospital stay.  The goal is to be home by Saturday baring any unforeseen circumstances.  Today was the first day for this week’s attending doctor — our favorite (and Adela’s usual outpatient doctor) Dr. Seashore.   It is nice to have a doctor here that has known and followed Adela and us as a family.  The plan is this: finish up the TPN, start oral supplements, run a course of flagyl to keep guts calm, stay on a hearty dose of steroids (oral instead of iv), and head home.   There will be a little tidying up of this plan over the next few days but if she stays the course we will be home soon.
