Long day, late night, and, as such, a short post.<\/p>\n
We don’t know much more from the scope than what I already posted earlier.\u00a0 Adela slept most of the afternoon, especially since they gave her a very low dose of Oxycontin to help with the pain from the scope procedure and the central line surgery.\u00a0 She’s on constant monitoring of her pulse, oxygen, and respiration.\u00a0 The nurses are coming in every four hours to check her other vital signs (temp, blood pressure, etc.).<\/p>\n
Based on the severity of the damage to her colon, we went for a late-night CT scan.\u00a0 The doctors want to check for any abscesses that may have formed because of her inflamed intestines.\u00a0 If there are big abscesses, they’ll have to be “drained”.\u00a0 If there are small ones, antibiotics can probably take care of them.\u00a0 We probably won’t know anything until morning from that.<\/p>\n
