We’re not out of the woods yet, but Adela’s blood chemistry numbers are slowly improving.\u00a0 For example, her platelets have nearly doubled from yesterday (from ~60 yesterday to 110 today) and her INR has dropped (from ~2.5 yesterday to 1.5 today).\u00a0 Both of those deal with her blood’s ability to clot, among other things.\u00a0 So, slow but steady progress in the right direction.\u00a0 She’ll be getting another blood transfusion and plasma this afternoon to help boost her numbers even quicker than her body would do on its own.<\/p>\n
Adela seemed a little more peppy last night and this morning.\u00a0 Last night she was propped up in bed reading books with me (well past her normal bedtime, but we’ll reset our internal clocks once we get home).\u00a0 This morning, she’s been reading with Nana and watching a little Curious George on TV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
