Quick update for today.\u00a0 We are hopefully within sight of the finish line for this hospital stay. \u00a0The goal is to be home by Saturday baring any unforeseen circumstances. \u00a0Today was the first day for this week’s attending doctor — our favorite (and Adela’s usual outpatient doctor) Dr. Seashore.\u00a0\u00a0 It is nice to have a doctor here that has known and followed Adela and us as a family. \u00a0The plan is this: finish up the TPN, start oral supplements, run a course of flagyl to keep guts calm, stay on a hearty dose of steroids (oral instead of iv), and head home. \u00a0 There will be a little tidying up of this plan over the next few days but if she stays the course we will be home soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
