Ali and I keep a photo album online of Adela. We try to update it every month or so with new pictures. I just uploaded the pictures from her birthday, so enjoy. http://adelaandfriends.shutterfly.com Here are two pictures from her birthday…
According to the pediatric orthopedist and the x-rays from yesterday, the small fracture in Adela’s leg has completely healed. We were also concerned about her bone density since she fractured her leg so easily, however the doctor said he wasn’t concerned. The formula she gets now has calcium, so it will help improve her bone
Adela is at the pediatric orthopedist right now having “special pictures” (aka x-rays) taken as a follow up to her fall a few weeks ago. Ali and I are almost positive that her leg is healed, however we just wanted to be sure before we really start pushing her to walk again. Adela did stand
Someone in the Broughton household turned three today…care to take a guess who? We didn’t have a party today since some of Ali’s family is out of town and Steven’s family is in New Bern and we didn’t want to drive out this weekend (since we just got back a few days ago from a
Adela had her next check in with Dr Seashore on Thursday. She was a little worked up going in (read that as really dramatically worked up), but she was able to calm herself much better than she use to. She weighed just over 23 pounds which is a 3 and a half pound gain in

Well, I figure I’ve procrastinated long enough to weed out anyone not really dedicated. 🙂 Adela has been doing well. No real setbacks. She had been having a lot of reflux flare up, but we finally think we tracked down the problem. Sometimes her prevacid meds will lose their potency if they get humid. When
Well, Adela continues to improve. Her mood seems good other than when we are attaching her tube. She is doing well with her therapies and rebounding to her former skills. She is actually making more sounds and word attempts than before. Today she had trouble again with the volume of her feeds and threw up
Just a quick note to let everyone know that Adela is making more and more progress and feeling better every day. The strength is coming back to her legs and she’s able to stand for a while on her own. Not walking again, but it won’t be long. Her attitude has been different since we
